Jourier builds the Data Hub on top of DuckDB (your existing environment, or a new one). Operational systems flow in via real-time CDC and webhooks. Modeled tables in DuckDB become the layer that BI tools, AI agents, MCP servers, and bespoke applications all read from.

DuckDB is a open-source in-process analytical database. Jourier brings the modeling, the pipelines, and the consumption layers, on top of DuckDB's engine.

Pick DuckDB when your customer cloud already hosts it, when the workload pattern fits DuckDB's strengths, or when your team has the DuckDB skills in-house. Jourier doesn't sell DuckDB licences — your contract stays with DuckDB Foundation. We bring the engineering and the modeling on top.

Can Jourier work with my existing DuckDB environment?

Yes. Jourier builds the Data Hub on top of your existing DuckDB setup: same workspace, same compute, same governance. Source pipelines, modeled tables, and consumption layers all live inside DuckDB unless you ask otherwise.

Does Jourier require DuckDB?

No. Jourier supports DuckDB as one of several backends. If your stack already runs on Snowflake, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric, BigQuery, Postgres, or Supabase, the Data Hub adapts to it. DuckDB is the right call when your customer cloud already hosts it or when the workload pattern fits DuckDB's strengths.

How does the Data Hub differ from off-the-shelf DuckDB content?

Off-the-shelf DuckDB content is generic. Jourier's Data Hub is bespoke, modeled to your operations, joined across the systems your business actually runs. Same DuckDB engine underneath, but a layer designed for your business, not someone else's.

Who owns the DuckDB notebooks, schemas, and configuration?

You do. Jourier delivers everything as code in your DuckDB workspace, with documentation. Hand it to another vendor or take it over yourself whenever you want. No lock-in, no per-engagement licence.

Can I switch warehouses later?

Yes. The Data Hub model is portable. Most of the SQL ports between DuckDB and another warehouse with light editing; ingestion pipelines can re-target. Migrations of this kind are also part of what Jourier does.

What does a Jourier engagement on DuckDB cost?

Bespoke project, scoped to the data that matters. DuckDB compute is paid directly to DuckDB's vendor (Jourier doesn't add a markup). Jourier's fee is project-based, not subscription-based. No platform fees if you self-host the orchestration.
